Thank you guys for your response. I am really overjoyed that you took it in the right spirit (not the alcoholic kind). After having given you my bhaashan where you guys would have indulged in some headbanging, I will try to keep this shorter. Try (no guarantee though) :P
Rajeev, thank you for your wonderful words. Yes, I'm writing a book and I do hope to sell more than a million copies of it. You will have to scroll down further to know more about it. I do not spend time editing what I write, it is just a random flow of words which is faster than what my hands can type. So, errors and omissions expected.
Kartik, thank you. You have also been a big influence in my life. My life book that you mentioned is going to print as we speak. I am no saint, but I hold no malice against anyone including people who did the unthinkable to me. I value my relationships with people more than any materialistic thing in life, including money. It hurt me a lot to see my childhood mates abuse their bodies, I felt so helpless. What wouldn't I give to have even an extra ounce of strength or muscle? I have no idea how many times I shed tears in these three days.
Bheem, Thank you for having been a buddy for life. Throughout all these years, we have never lost touch even for a little while. It was great to spend time with Doddamma and now I miss Amma more.
Ravi, Tony, Kiran, Wilfred, Sathya, Laxman, thank you. I wish to see all my friends in great health and prosperity all the time.
Natti, Cheer up, man. Have a wonderful blessed life with Rekha. I'm not sure if you get to see your son often, but show him you are a leader. Show him you are his friend. Work hard, play harder, drink lesser. Get back in shape. Walk, run, swim, cycle. Do it all because you can. Do it for me.
Manju, my dear friend. I could see the concern in your eyes. I can also see pain much better. They say old habits die hard. But do this for me. Do not abuse yourself. Your daughters need you.
Satisha, my captain. I feel your pain. I know how close you were to your mom even during the school days. She always reminded me of an angel. She looked like a goddess. Now, she is reborn as your child. 3 girls, you have been blessed for life. Get back to leading us again. Be the captain you always were. I will definitely keep in touch with you regarding dad's health and do whatever possible from my side to get him back to his normal self again. I share your pain.
Siva, I would have loved to kick your ass and Tony's for the kind of lousy puff daddies you both have become.
Coming back to my life and my book, Rajeev, Kartik & all, I have been working on it for quite some time now. It has been a painstaking effort and I have left no stone unturned in my efforts to make it a blockbuster. I have been compiling them with a lot of effort and enthusiasm. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I want all of them. Each of these chapters that I have, mean a lot to me. I cherish each and every one of them. My though is not made of paper or bits & bytes. They are flesh and blood. They are all my friends here and elsewhere. I hope to leave a lasting impact on everyone I meet. Something, that will alter their course of life for the better. I have no clue for how long I will be on my feet, but I shall fight my disability until my last breath. I shall be compiling more chapters as I go.
I would like this group, my schoolmates, my buddies for life, to be more organized and lead by example. Let us try to do something more constructive with our energies. Let this be a platform for us to collectively work for something good, something our children will remember us by, something others will try and emulate. Something that will add more pages to my book. Would you guys do it for me?
I thank you all once again for all your love, care and concern. It is this feeling that keeps me going and will keep me mobile all the while. I love you all.
