I am cuddly & cute. Now, that's no dispute. If you teach me, I won't bite nor will I chew, You'll never hear me complain, not even a mew. I play with your kids, gives me a kick. And when you are late, it makes me sick. I need not breed, you are my family, As father, mother, son or brother, we live happily. As I grow up, I guard your house. No one shall enter, no mouse... No male. So, is it really a bother That I am female? - My very first attempt at a poem, ever. Dedicated to the wonderful volunteers of Humane Animal Society (Coimbatore) for their yeoman service, and to the amazing beings on earth - without whom life wouldn't be worth living at all.
